Kim has been invited to be one of two international Keynote Speakers at the forthcoming national ANATS (‘Association of Teachers of Singing’) national conference in her home town of Brisbane, Australia.

Kim helped plan, run and presented at the prestigious 3-day “Choice for Voice 2010″ recently held at the Royal Academy of Music in London. This two-yearly event is the biggest on the BVA’s calendar. Kim’s workshop was “Authentic CCM Song Interpretation” and her paper “So you want to be a vocal coach?: A multi-disciplinary approach to teaching singing”. [Click here to read abstract]

June 30, 2010: Kim sings at Nottingham’s Trent Arena

Kim was the lead singer in a band of top session musicians who performed with 800 school children for “Perform!” – a ground-breaking music project run by Trinity Guildhall and the Open University.

May 20, 2010: Kim backs singing football legend on the roof of The O2!

Kim was commissioned to put together a small group of singers to back Terry Venables in the video of his charity single “If I Can Dream” for the World Cup. Joined by equally brave members of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, they are the first people to ever perform on the top of The O2. [Watch on YouTube]

May 4, 2010: Kim warms up Courtney Love for her appearance on “Later”…

Kim was booked as the vocal coach to warm-up the voice of Courtney Love for her live performance on “Later with Jools Holland” on BBC2. Sharing the show were fellow rockers Ozzy Osbourne and Iggy Pop.

From May 3, 2010: Kim sings opening jingle for “Graham Norton” radio show…

Kim and long-term session singing partner Chris Madin have sung the opening jingle for the new “Graham Norton Show” broadcast every weekday morning from 7 to 9.30am on BBC Radio 2 whilst he fills in for Chris Evans. The vocals were recorded in Kim’s studio “Virtual Vocals“.

April 17, 2010: Kim’s choir features in “Sun” newspaper TV advert…

Kim was commissioned to put together and sing with the 26-voice choir seen in the prime-time TV commercials for “The Sun” newspaper. Also featuring stirring lead vocals by football legend Terry Venables, the choir were backed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. [Watch on YouTube]

April 14, 2010: Kim’s voice features in a major release film…

Kim and her session singer friend Emma Robbins re-vocalled a 70’s classic “I Believe In Miracles” (Jackson Sisters) which features in the pivotal nightclub scene in RICKY GERVAIS‘ new film "Cemetery Junction" (in cinemas in April, on DVD from August). Kim and Emma also provide prominent backing vocals on another classic song in the movie “Deed I do” sung by Lance Ellington. [Watch on YouTube]

Kim presented a paper at the prestigious 3-day PEVOC 8 international voice conference recently held in Dresden in Germany. This is an event where the world’s leading voice specialists and researchers come together in a different city every two years to share latest information and findings. July 31, 2009: Kim fronts 8-piece band at the “Ealing Jazz Festival”…

This was Kim’s first performance at the prestigious annual Ealing Jazz Festival. Performing with some of the best musicians in town, she sang instru-vocal tunes, a song written by band leader Paul Carmichael and knocked ‘em dead with a bit of classic blues to finish.

July 25, 2009: Kim’s first ever session at the legendary ABBEY ROAD studios…

Kim’s first session in Abbey Road took place in Studio 2 where over 90% of the Beatles material was recorded. Over 20 pages of sightreading was involved in this ‘one-woman-show’ station idents package for ‘Manx Radio’ in the Isle of Man.
